Medication Administration at Megan's Place - a practical application (to be taken after QMAP)
This course may be taken by staff aged 18+ with direction from the Director and permission from our RN. This course is meant to cover Megan's Place procedures and protocols that are to be followed when administering medications. This course, coupled with completion of QMAP and delegation will allow you to administer meds at MP. The steps to be able to administer medications at Megan's Place are:
1. You must have completed a recognized QMAP course and your name be searchable on the CO QMAP database.
2. Complete all materials in this course in order.
3. After the online portion is complete, you will meet with our RN for the practical portion including demonstration of medication administration, measuring, and documentation.
4. Lastly you will work with a Lead Staff and have them complete the Observations sheet.
